    Making a Flintlock Rifle by Hand
    This film shows how the American colonist's in the 1770's built a flintlock Muzzle Loading rifle by hand. Amazing!
    1st Film; "Silver Rifle". This a shortened version of a US Army film on of the US Infantry rifle. Explaining the use of the Army's flintlock musket and the use of the Kentucky rifle during the Revolutionary War.  5 M
    2nd Film: "Forging a Barrel".  This part shows how the barrel was hand forged, hand welded. rifled, and filed to perfection. 16:59 M
    3rd Film; "Building the Lock". This part shows how hand create all of the parts to a flintlock lock.  They even create there own screws by hand. 12:45 M
    4th Film; "Casting your Brass": This part shows how the smiths cast there brass trigger guard, butt-guard and other parts.4:58 M
    5th Film; "Fit and Finish"  This part creates the stock and puts the whole gun together. Just Amazing and all done by hand.  23:45 M
    6th Film; "Muzzle- Loading Festival"  Each year in June, over 1600 folks participate in this festival  as  muzzle-loader re-enactors, plus many other dress up for the occasion.  Fun to see. 5:14 M
    7th Films; 1812 Flat Bottom Boats". Early in the 1800's, farmers needed to get their "goods" to New Orleans market. To do that, several farmers would work together and  build a "Flat Bottom Boat"  The goal was to float there "goods" down the Ohio River, to the Mississippi River, then onto to New Orleans.  Of course Flintlock rifle went with them, 10:49 M
